Rum is also very popular on Roatan, as well as throughout the Caribbean. Of course, you can also buy wines, mixed drinks and beers. These are mostly local or imported from Honduras. The island is full of shops, restaurants, pubs and bars where you can buy alcoholic beverages. It’s very common for bars to have so-called "happy hours"-- the time when you have two selected drinks for the price of one. All you have to do is select a bar or pub and a given range of hours. There are many bars on the Roatan beaches with a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Tourists are mostly fans of tropical cocktails and can be found at the local bars holding a cold glass, filled with mixed juices and spirits and a straw placed inside. Most tropical cocktails consist of rum or vodka as the main source of alcohol. The most famous tropical cocktails are the Piña Colada, Margarita, Banana Colada, Monkey Lala and Blue Hawaiian. Nevertheless, the Rum Punch is a well-known local specialty and is very recommend for tourist to try. It is a cocktail composed of ice, orange juice, grenadine and three kinds of strong rum. Be careful with this drink, it almost always entangles your head 

High quality wines from Chile and Argentina are available on the island. There are many wine stores on the island, so there is no problem finding white or red wine that you can enjoy.

Of course, there is plenty of beer available too on. Here you can taste more kinds of local beers, of which the most famous is Salva Vida. There is also a wide selection of imported beers, which are more expensive. In this context, we have to mention the Bay Island Brewery, which at first glance looks like a medieval fortress and was built by the Czech Jiří Maška. His intention was to produce quality beer according to the Czech recipe in Roatan. Beer is not pasteurized and is produced from natural raw materials, some of which are imported from the Czech Republic. Plum brandy is also produced and excursions are organized. At present, the brewery's operation is limited, so beer is brewed in smaller numbers.
